Q: How do I operate my HeatBank 3?

A: When it’s powered off, briefly tap the power button once and release. The blue lights will indicate the power status (3 lights indicate a full charge, while 1 light indicates a low charge).

When it’s powered on, the lights will continuously indicate heat status.

 

Q: How does temperature mode work?

A: When your hand warmer is on, follow these steps:

  • Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn it on. The product will power on in low temperature setting.
  • Press power again to change the temperature setting.
  • How quickly the red light blinks will indicate the temperature:
  • Low Setting: Slow blink (approximately 1 second interval)
  • High Setting: Fast blink (approximately .5 second interval)
  • Prolonged contact with skin will reduce operating time and temperature.

TIP: To maximize operating time, we recommend using your hand warmer within a clothing pocket. Operating time may be reduced when directly exposed to colder temperatures (outside of a pocket).

Q: How do I recharge my HeatBank 3?

A: It’s shipped with a partial charge and must be fully charged before using the first time. Use only the charging cable provided with your product to avoid overheating, leaking, or explosion. Steps to properly charge are as follows:

  • Plug the micro USB end of the charging cable into the small USB port. Plug the large USB end into a suitable charging device or Listed/Certified ITE Power Supply. Charging will begin automatically.
  • Blue indicator lights will blink to show the power level while charging (3 lights for full charge, 1 light for low charge).
  • Periodically inspect the condition of your charging cable. Contact Zippo for replacement recommendations if necessary.
  • After charging/recharging, disconnect the charging cable.
  • When disconnecting the cord, be sure to pull by plug rather than the cord to reduce risk of damage.
  • Place charging cable away from sharp edges and so it doesn’t become tangled.

 

Q: Can I charge a mobile device with the HeatBank 3?

A: Yes. Here’s how:

  • Ensure that your mobile device is compatible with your hand warmer.
  • Connect the large USB plug of the appropriate mobile device charging cable (not included) into the large USB port. The mobile device should begin to charge automatically. The blue product light will illuminate indicating power status.
  • While charging a mobile device, your HeatBank’s heat functions will be disabled to prevent overheating.

 

Q: If my HeatBank 3 needs repair, what can I do?
