AxeSaw

Learn how to use and troubleshoot your Zippo AxeSaw.

Q: How do I turn the AxeSaw into the bow saw?

A: Follow the simple steps below to convert the AxeSaw into a saw.

  1. Open the cam lever on handle and remove the saw blade from the
    blade storage inside the handle.
  2. Attach a (single) blade to the axe head by loosening the thumb screw on the sheath and opening the sheath by pulling in opposite directions on the finger indents.
  3. The thumbscrew attaches to a barrel connector that protrudes through the axe blade. Align  the hole of the blade over the barrel connector, close the safety sheath and tighten the thumbscrew into the barrel connector.
  4. Attach the opposite end of the (single) saw blade's hole to the tension compensator clip in the clamping assembly in the handle.
  5. Tighten the blade by carefully rotating the cam lever to the closed position.

Q: What can I do if my AxeSaw is broken?

A: This AxeSaw is warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship of sheath, axe head and handle for a period of one (1) year from the date of original retail purchase. Normal wear and tear, misuse or abuse, contrary to instructions and saw blade are excluded. Any  implied warranties which by law cannot be excluded are limited to this same period. If a covered part is found to be defective, Zippo will repair or replace, at it's option, the affected part. Please fill out our repair form to have your AxeSaw evaluated for repair or replacement.
