Double Arc Rechargeable Lighter Insert
Here’s what you need to know to get the right light every time.
Q: How do I install the Arc Insert into my Zippo lighter case?
A: Follow these steps:
- Open your lighter and remove your current insert.
- Firmly grasp the lighter case edges, then slide new arc insert in.
- Be sure to flip insert cam down before inserting into the lighter case.
Q: How do I ignite my Arc Insert?
A: After opening your lighter’s lid, quickly double press and then hold the ignition button with your thumb to ignite the arc beam. Release the button to extinguish it.
Note: The beam will automatically shut off after 10 continuous seconds. Simply double press and hold the ignition to relight.
Q: How do I charge my insert?
A: Your insert is shipped with a partial charge and must be fully charged before using the first time. Use only the charging cable provided with your product to avoid potential overheating, leaking, or explosion. Follow these instructions to ensure a proper charge:
- Plug the small micro-USB end of the included cable into the product’s micro-USB port. Plug the large USB end into a suitable charging device. Charge will begin automatically.
- Blue indicator light will show the following statuses:
- Solid light indicates charging in progress
- No light indicates charging completed
- Flashing light indicates charging needed
- If your insert doesn’t charge or if the blue indicator light doesn’t light up after plugging into the power supply, verify that the large end of the USB cable is not inserted upside down.
Q: My Arc lighter insert is brand new, but it won’t light.
A: If you have not already done so, make sure the ignition button is pressed twice within three seconds with your thumb. On the second press, hold the button in to ignite the electrical arc. Once on, it will automatically shut off after 10 continuous seconds.
Q: I didn’t see a charging cord in the box.
A: The charging cord is located under the packaging and can sometimes be difficult to find. If you indeed didn’t receive a cord, we’ll gladly send a replacement to you.
Q: The beams connected/worked previously. Why won’t the Arcs connect now?
A: Sometimes debris can build on the electrodes. We recommend using a non-metallic item such as a toothpick to gently remove any debris. Please use great care while cleaning to avoid damaging the electrodes.
Q: If my insert needs repair, what can I do?
A: First, make sure your insert is still within the two-year warranty window. If it is, please complete our repair form, which can be accessed by clicking here.
